Automotive Fabricator / Custom Build Technician

713 Motors creates one-of-one luxury, exotic, performance and specialty vehicles. The fabricator turns design direction into strong, functional and visually resolved components.
This role is for a hands-on builder who respects the vehicle, understands the details and can move from measurement to finished installation with discipline.
What You Will Do
Execute the build.
- Fabricate brackets, mounts, exhaust components and custom solutions for one-of-one vehicle programs.
- Perform accurate TIG and MIG welding across stainless steel, aluminum and mild steel applications.
- Measure, cut, form, fit and finish components with attention to symmetry, clearance and serviceability.
- Support performance, suspension, aero, body and specialty component installation.
- Translate build concepts and reference measurements into durable execution.
- Protect client vehicles, maintain clean work areas and document progress.
- Inspect completed work for finish, fitment, safety and the final 713 standard.

Hands-On Experience
Professional automotive, motorsports or custom fabrication experience with completed work to show.
Welding Ability
Confident TIG and MIG setup, preparation, heat control, penetration and finish work.
Precision
Comfortable measuring, templating, notching, cutting, grinding and fitting accurately.
Vehicle Knowledge
Understanding of automotive systems, safe lifting, clearances and installation sequencing.
Problem Solving
Able to diagnose fitment challenges and develop clean solutions without compromise.
Professional Standard
Reliable, organized, accountable and comfortable around premium client vehicles.

What experience is preferred?+
Automotive, motorsports, performance, restoration or specialty-metal fabrication is preferred. Strong adjacent experience may be considered when the portfolio demonstrates precision.
Are certifications required?+
Certifications can strengthen an application, but demonstrated skill, clean execution and accountability carry the most weight.
What should my portfolio include?+
Show completed automotive work, in-process fabrication, weld quality, fitment and a short note explaining your role.
What is the compensation?+
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, demonstrated skill, the practical assessment and employment arrangement.
Is the role full-time?+
The primary opportunity is on-site in Houston. Full-time and contract structures may be considered.
What is the schedule?+
Typical shop hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The hiring conversation will confirm the role-specific schedule.
